J.R. BergeronBES Founder/CEO/President
J.R. Bergeron has over 30 years of heavy construction, design build, site development, and emergency services experience, including processing more than two million cubic yards of hurricane debris after Hurricane Wilma in 2005. Most recently J.R. and his team completed a large scale recycling project for Broward County Waste & Recycling Services. The project processed over 1.8 million cubic yards of hurricane debris, including vegetative, hazardous and non-hazardous materials that had been stockpiled for more than five years.
As CEO of Bergeron Emergency Services, he coordinates bidding, contract negotiations, management and control of all projects for all disaster response projects. His breadth of work spans the U.S. and particularly various county agencies throughout South and Central Florida, especially Broward County.
Lyn Buckley-MoganBusiness Development Manager
Ms. Buckley-Mogan has 33 years of experience in business development for the disaster response, environmental restoration, construction, and the renewable energy industries. She has managed proposals ranging from $5 million to $50 million for local, national, and international projects. Working closely with executive, operations, and estimating staff, she manages the deconstruction of client-based solicitations to provide client-centric responses to local, state, and federal bids. During disaster events, she adds an additional level of contract support.
Sally BergeronGovernment Relations
Ms. Bergeron has more than 15 years in government relations experience specifically for disaster response. She monitors government changes and updates to FEMA and Public assistance programs keeping the Company Response Guidelines up to date. During disaster events she provides an additional level of quality control for FEMA and Public assistance program regulations. Her assistance during disaster events such as Hurricanes Michael, Irma, and Matthew were key elements to the success of the responses.
Lee BuffingtonOperations Manager
Mr. Buffington has 15 years of disaster response experience. He has managed all aspects of disaster response including pickup/haul road clearance and DMS site setup and safety. He has provided operations management for more than 45 disaster response activations since 2008. He has successfully managed multiple activations for disasters from Texas to Connecticut through Hurricane Michael in 2018 and is fully experienced with FEMA, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Public Assistance Programs requirements.
Daniel McClaranArea Manager
Mr. McClaran has more than 30 years of experience in disaster response and land development work. As an area manager, he has overseen multiple activation responses and provided on-site management and safety for both pickup/haul and DMS. His disaster response work dates back to Hurricane Wilma in 2005 and includes area management road clearance work for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Broward County, Florida, Florida Turnpike Authority, and countless state agencies. Mr. McClaran is fully experienced with FEMA, FDOT and Public Assistance Programs.
Glen HitchcockContracts Liaison
Mr. Hitchcock is a senior manager with more than 20 years of FEMA and Public Assistance Program Responses. He has worked directly with FEMA working his way up from project officer/debris specialist to deputy public assistance officer. His broad-based FEMA knowledge provides FEMA quality control and client specific support before, during, and after disaster responses.
Robert MaplesSr. Field Operations Manager
Beginning work in disaster response in the summer of 2004, Mr. Maples has accrued almost 20 years working in this industry. Responsibilities have included: successful implementation of field operations, logistics and on-site management in natural disaster response situations from New York City to Houston, Texas while building relationships and working hand in hand with multiple Federal, State and Local Governmental Agencies.
